MISSION STATEMENT OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE OF DISCIPLES MEN

The General Conference of Disciples Men is the formal organization of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, ministering to the unique needs of men in the church, enabling them to fulfill their potential as servants of God, strengthening the total work of the church.

The General Conference of Disciples Men in comprised of the Regional Men's President and Regional Men's Staff Member of each of the 35 regions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, and elected members of the Conference Executive Committee.

The Disciples Men Cabinet of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nebraska is responsible for regional men's events including an annual retreat and men's rallies. The cabinet members are available as resources for men's groups in Nebraska congregations.

Currently those events are:

Nebraska Disciples Men Retreat - Kamp Kaleo, Burwell, August
Spring Men's Rally - Peru State College, February
Nebraska Men's Rally - First Christian Church, Ashland, August
Disciples Men Luncheon - Regional Assembly

The men's groups in three congregations sponsor annual events to which all men in the region are invited:

Midwinter Men's Rally and Buffalo Feed - First Christian Church, Grand Island, February

Men's Steak Feed - First Christian Church, Elwood, May

Men's Fall Pork BBQ - First Christian Church, Kearney, September
